Office Dogs, Office Cats, ........Office Pig????

Today I had to get the famous Emissions Test done on my van in order to renew my license plate sticker. I stopped in at an E-testing facility near my home. The facility is well run, the staff are friendly, and they have a somewhat unusual office inhabitant..... Daisy, the pot bellied pig.

I have to admit, a pig is not the usual office animal you encounter when you come across those who like to bring their pets to work with them. But Daisy, who has been going to work with her owners for many years, is right at home in the office.

There is a nice big comfy couch in the waiting area for those of us waiting for the results of our E-test. I was seated on this couch, when Daisy walked by, grunting to herself. She banged on the door that opens up to behind the service counter several times so someone would let her behind the counter. Sure enough, the door was opened swiftly. She walked around, grunted, then came back out into the waiting area. She sniffed my shoes and pants, had a good look at the vacant spots on the couch, then effortlessly jumped up onto the couch. Based on Daisy's conformation, I would have bet money that there was no way this round bodied, short legged pig would have ever been able to jump up on that couch. She made it up there like she was a light footed poodle! She sniffed around on the couch, presumably for stray bits of food, then snuggled up beside me and laid down. How sweet! This totally made my day.
